Hello! My name is Winnie Yee. I am a PhD student in the School of Education, specializing in Education Policy and Social Context.  My fields of research are higher education policy, economics of crime, and social mobility

Previously, I was a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, where I wrote about the overoptimism in Federal Open Market Committee forecasts and adjusting the unemployment rate during the COVID-19 pandemic in FRBSF Economic Letters. During my time at the Brookings Institution with the Hamilton Project, I worked on pieces related to COVID-19's impact on the LFPR for women and school enrollment for young adults.

I graduated from Simmons College with a major in Economics and a minor in Public Policy. I also have a Masters in Public Policy with a Certificate in Research Methods at the University of Chicago.
